Introduction

Before accessing or using any GlucoseZone Site or GlucoseZone Service, you should read and understand this Privacy Policy and our End User License Agreement https://glucosezone.com/terms/. This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into our End User License Agreement. By accessing or using any GlucoseZone Site or GlucoseZone Service, you agree to be bound by the End User License Agreement, including all disclaimers and limitations of liability, which form a binding agreement between you and GlucoseZone. IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ALL TERMS OF THE END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT, INCLUDING THIS PRIVACY POLICY, YOU MAY NOT ACCESS OR USE ANY GlucoseZone SITE OR ANY GlucoseZone SERVICE.

GlucoseZone reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to update or modify the Privacy Policy at any time and from time to time without prior notice. Any such modifications and updates will become effective immediately upon posting. You should review this Privacy Policy whenever you access or use the GlucoseZone Sites or the GlucoseZone Services to keep yourself apprised of any changes. YOUR CONTINUED USE OF ANY GlucoseZone SERVICE OR YOUR CONTINUED ACCESS OF ANY GlucoseZone SITE FOLLOWING THE POSTING OF ANY MODIFICATION OR UPDATE WILL CONSTITUTE YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE PRIVACY POLICY AS MODIFIED OR UPDATED.

Information We May Collect From You
Registering Your GlucoseZone Account

To fully use the GlucoseZone Services you will need to create a GlucoseZone account. When you login for the first time, you will be asked to provide certain personal and biometric information about yourself, including your name, age, gender, type of diabetes (i.e. Type 1 or Type 2), height, current weight, current A1C level, a list of the medications you are currently taking, any other health conditions or physical challenges you have, your exercise preferences and your geographic location. You will also be asked to create a password and provide us with your valid email address and valid credit card information. Each time you use the GlucoseZone Services you will be asked to enter your current blood glucose levels. You must provide us with complete and accurate registration information and notify us if any of your information has changed.

Third Party Account Registration and Use

If you use a third party provider to register with, access or use the GlucoseZone Sites or GlucoseZone Services, including your YouTube, Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or other social media account(s), we may receive certain personal information that’s connected to your account(s) with that third party. Depending on your account’s privacy settings, this personal information may include your e-mail address, name, gender, country, access to any of the other applications you use through that account, your user ID or handle, profile picture, age range, education and work history, country/language, interests, photographs and videos and any other information that’s associated with that account.

If you don’t want us to receive your personal information from a third party provider, then you should not use a third party account to access the GlucoseZone Sites or the GlucoseZone Services. For more information about what third parties provide to us when you register with, access or use the GlucoseZone Sites or the GlucoseZone Services through your YouTube, Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or other social media account(s), you should contact your third party account administrator directly.

Tracking Technologies

GlucoseZone may use various tracking technologies or analytics to collect non-personal information about you when you access the GlucoseZone Sites or use the GlucoseZone Services. This non-personal information typically includes your browser type, IP address, mobile device used, mobile device identifiers, other data collected from your mobile device, and general user activity on the GlucoseZone Sites. Our use of cookies, beacons, tags and scripts enable us to recognize your device, so you don’t have to login multiple times when using the GlucoseZone Services. GlucoseZone has the right, but not the obligation, to store any messages that pass through the GlucoseZone Sites or the GlucoseZone Services as well as other message information.

Information Others May Collect From You
Advertisers

GlucoseZone may allow third-party advertising companies and ad networks, including content recommendation engines, to display advertisements on the GlucoseZone Sites and to track user activity for the purpose of determining what ads to display. These companies may also use information collected on the GlucoseZone Sites in order to better serve ads (i.e. ad targeting). These advertisers, ad networks and behavioral targeting companies may collect information that tracks your use of the GlucoseZone Sites and the GlucoseZone Services in order to measure ad performance, track which ads you click on, and display ads targeted specifically to you, including displaying ads on third party websites that are within their ad network after you leave the GlucoseZone Site. If you have any questions about a banner advertisement, you should contact the responsible advertiser directly.

Information collected and used by our advertisers is outside of our control. If you post information about yourself or others, or communicate with others by or through the GlucoseZone Sites, we cannot control who reads your postings or what they do with the information you provide. We encourage you to use caution in posting personal information.

The GlucoseZone Sites may contain links to other websites (“Linked Sites”). GlucoseZone is not responsible for, and has no control over, the privacy policies and practices of Linked Sites. When linking to another website you should read the privacy policy stated on that website. This Privacy Policy only governs the GlucoseZone Sites and GlucoseZone Services.

How We May Use Information We Collect From You
We may use the information we collect from you to: (a) interact with you and allow our Glucosezone-trained coaches (“Digital Coaches”) to advise you in real time about how to address issues relating to exercise and diabetes management; (b) make exercise recommendations to you; (c) help us develop, improve, deliver and operate the GlucoseZone Sites and the GlucoseZone Services; (d) customize the GlucoseZone Sites, the GlucoseZone Services and advertising to your preferences; (e) keep you posted on product and services announcements and important notices regarding terms, policies and conditions; (f) process payment for products or services you order through the GlucoseZone Sites or the GlucoseZone Services; (g) notify you of any increases or decreases in our subscription fees; (h) publicly display feedback and comments posted by you on the GlucoseZone Sites; (i) manage your account and your preferences; (j) facilitate your use of the GlucoseZone Sites and the GlucoseZone Services; (k) send you e-mails, newsletters or promotional materials; (l) detect and block security breaches and fraudulent transactions or other misuses and provide you with a safe online environment; (m) support internal functions such as auditing, data analysis, research and quality management; (n) develop and deliver new products and services; and (o) enforce our End User License Agreement.

We may disclose your personal information: (i) to contractors we use to support our business, including credit-card payment processors and other service providers who perform services on our behalf; (ii) other businesses with which we partner or which we carefully select to offer you products, services and promotions through the GlucoseZone Sites and the GlucoseZone Services; (iii) in the event of a sale, merger, liquidation, dissolution, reorganization, assignment or other transfer of GlucoseZone, or the GlucoseZone Sites or the GlucoseZone Services to which the information relates, in which case we will require any such buyer to agree to treat it in accordance with this Privacy Policy and use it for the same purposes; or (iv) to respond to law enforcement requests or where required by applicable laws, court orders, or government regulations, and in situations involving harassment or “cyber bullying" or threats to the physical safety of any person. GlucoseZone reserves the right to use the information we collect from you on an anonymized basis to provide aggregate statistical information to any third party GlucoseZone may contract with for any purpose whatsoever, commercial or otherwise, without compensation to you.

Your Responsibility Online
It is GlucoseZone’s practice to secure the personal information we collect from you. However, the confidentiality of personal information transmitted over the internet cannot be guaranteed and it is possible that your information may be accessed by unauthorized third parties. We urge you to exercise caution when transmitting personal information over the internet, especially personal information related to your health. While we will do our best to protect your privacy, we cannot guarantee your online safety or security or that unauthorized third parties won’t try to access your personal information. We are not responsible for the actions of those who obtain your information in this manner. Any transmission of information to GlucoseZone, and any use of the GlucoseZone Sites and the GlucoseZone Services, is at your own risk.

Your Choices
You may choose: (a) not to provide personal or biometric information to us, although that may result in your inability to use certain features of the GlucoseZone Sites or the GlucoseZone Services; (b) to delete or decline cookies by changing your browser settings, although if you do so some of the features of the GlucoseZone Sites or the GlucoseZone Services may not function properly; or (c) to review and update your personal information through your account or by contacting us at support@glucosezone.com. Should you elect to cancel your account you may do so at any time, but we reserve the right to retain your account information so we can contact you to attempt to re-engage you to use the GlucoseZone Services. In addition, copies of your information may remain in back up storage for some time after your account is cancelled or deleted. We may also retain certain information to protect against identity theft or misconduct or to respond to law enforcement requests or where required by applicable laws, court orders, or government regulations, and in situations involving harassment or “cyber bullying" or threats to the physical safety of any person.

Electronic Communications
When you register for the GlucoseZone Services we will use the information you give us to send you emails, newsletters or promotional materials. You can inform us at any time that you no longer wish to receive emails, newsletters or promotional materials from us by selecting the “unsubscribe” button at the bottom of such communication or by emailing us at support@glucosezone.com.

Servers
The GlucoseZone Services are hosted on servers in the [United States]. By using the GlucoseZone Services, you agree that the handling of your personal information and any communications by and through the GlucoseZone Services shall be governed by the laws of the state of Connecticut without regard to principles of conflicts of law.

Children Under 18
GlucoseZone will not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. We encourage parents to talk to their children about their use of the internet and mobile applications and services, and the information they disclose online. If you are a parent or guardian and you become aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please notify us at support@glucosezone.com and we will delete such information.
