Registering Your Fitscript Account
To fully use the Fitscript Services you will need to create a Fitscript account. When you login for the first time, you will be asked to provide certain personal and biometric information about yourself, including your name, age, gender, type of diabetes (i.e. Type 1 or Type 2), height, current weight, current A1C level, a list of the medications you are currently taking, any other health conditions or physical challenges you have, your exercise preferences and your geographic location. You will also be asked to create a password and provide us with your valid email address and valid credit card information. Each time you use the Fitscript Services you will be asked to enter your current blood glucose levels. You must provide us with complete and accurate registration information and notify us if any of your information has changed.
Third Party Account Registration and Use
If you use a third party provider to register with, access or use the Fitscript Sites or Fitscript Services, including your YouTube, Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or other social media account(s), we may receive certain personal information that’s connected to your account(s) with that third party. Depending on your account’s privacy settings, this personal information may include your e-mail address, name, gender, country, access to any of the other applications you use through that account, your user ID or handle, profile picture, age range, education and work history, country/language, interests, photographs and videos and any other information that’s associated with that account.
If you don’t want us to receive your personal information from a third party provider, then you should not use a third party account to access the Fitscript Sites or the Fitscript Services. For more information about what third parties provide to us when you register with, access or use the Fitscript Sites or the Fitscript Services through your YouTube, Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or other social media account(s), you should contact your third party account administrator directly.
Fitscript may allow third-party advertising companies and ad networks, including content recommendation engines, to display advertisements on the Fitscript Sites and to track user activity for the purpose of determining what ads to display. These companies may also use information collected on the Fitscript Sites in order to better serve ads (i.e. ad targeting). These advertisers, ad networks and behavioral targeting companies may collect information that tracks your use of the Fitscript Sites and the Fitscript Services in order to measure ad performance, track which ads you click on, and display ads targeted specifically to you, including displaying ads on third party websites that are within their ad network after you leave the Fitscript Site. If you have any questions about a banner advertisement, you should contact the responsible advertiser directly.
Information collected and used by our advertisers is outside of our control. If you post information about yourself or others, or communicate with others by or through the Fitscript Sites, we cannot control who reads your postings or what they do with the information you provide. We encourage you to use caution in posting personal information.
We may use the information we collect from you to: (a) interact with you and allow our Glucosezone-trained coaches (“Digital Coaches”) to advise you in real time about how to address issues relating to exercise and diabetes management; (b) make exercise recommendations to you; (c) help us develop, improve, deliver and operate the Fitscript Sites and the Fitscript Services; (d) customize the Fitscript Sites, the Fitscript Services and advertising to your preferences; (e) keep you posted on product and services announcements and important notices regarding terms, policies and conditions; (f) process payment for products or services you order through the Fitscript Sites or the Fitscript Services; (g) notify you of any increases or decreases in our subscription fees; (h) publicly display feedback and comments posted by you on the Fitscript Sites; (i) manage your account and your preferences; (j) facilitate your use of the Fitscript Sites and the Fitscript Services; (k) send you e-mails, newsletters or promotional materials; (l) detect and block security breaches and fraudulent transactions or other misuses and provide you with a safe online environment; (m) support internal functions such as auditing, data analysis, research and quality management; (n) develop and deliver new products and services; and (o) enforce our End User License Agreement.
It is Fitscript’s practice to secure the personal information we collect from you. However, the confidentiality of personal information transmitted over the internet cannot be guaranteed and it is possible that your information may be accessed by unauthorized third parties. We urge you to exercise caution when transmitting personal information over the internet, especially personal information related to your health. While we will do our best to protect your privacy, we cannot guarantee your online safety or security or that unauthorized third parties won’t try to access your personal information. We are not responsible for the actions of those who obtain your information in this manner. Any transmission of information to Fitscript, and any use of the Fitscript Sites and the Fitscript Services, is at your own risk.
You may choose: (a) not to provide personal or biometric information to us, although that may result in your inability to use certain features of the Fitscript Sites or the Fitscript Services; (b) to delete or decline cookies by changing your browser settings, although if you do so some of the features of the Fitscript Sites or the Fitscript Services may not function properly; or (c) to review and update your personal information through your account or by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Should you elect to cancel your account you may do so at any time, but we reserve the right to retain your account information so we can contact you to attempt to re-engage you to use the Fitscript Services. In addition, copies of your information may remain in back up storage for some time after your account is cancelled or deleted. We may also retain certain information to protect against identity theft or misconduct or to respond to law enforcement requests or where required by applicable laws, court orders, or government regulations, and in situations involving harassment or “cyber bullying” or threats to the physical safety of any person.
When you register for the Fitscript Services we will use the information you give us to send you emails, newsletters or promotional materials. You can inform us at any time that you no longer wish to receive emails, newsletters or promotional materials from us by selecting the “unsubscribe” button at the bottom of such communication or by emailing us at email@example.com.
The Fitscript Services are hosted on servers in the [United States]. By using the Fitscript Services, you agree that the handling of your personal information and any communications by and through the Fitscript Services shall be governed by the laws of the state of Connecticut without regard to principles of conflicts of law.
Fitscript will not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. We encourage parents to talk to their children about their use of the internet and mobile applications and services, and the information they disclose online. If you are a parent or guardian and you become aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please notify us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will delete such information.
